10:00 A.M. to 10:30 A.M.	Writing Workshop Independent Writing Opinion Papers	Work in their Writer’s Notebook creating a draft of their opinion papers	Circulates the classroom stopping at each student to assess their level of understanding of the newly presented topic
10:30 A.M. to 11:00 A.M.	Reading Workshop Independent Reading	Read silently a book that was chosen by the student themselves	Circulates the room conferencing with particular students to assess reading level, comprehension, etc.
Tuesday
9:00 A.M. to 10:00 A.M.	Reading Workshop Literature Circles	Work in groups to discuss a student chosen book Discuss different key elements, such as main characters, theme, setting, plot, etc.	Circulates the room guiding the conversations in a way that will lead students to full conceive the entire book
10:00 A.M. to 10:30 A.M.	Writing Workshop Independent Writing Opinion Papers	Work in their Writer’s Notebooks continuing the draft of the opinion paper, or working on the revising or editing of the same paper	Circulates the room conferencing with particular students to assess writing level, content, etc.
10:30 A.M. to 11:00 A.M.	Reading Workshop Independent Reading	Read silently a book that was chosen by the student themselves	Circulates the room conferencing with particular students to assess reading level, comprehension, etc.
